 For literacy, we had to read about the twits by ralph daul, and then we had to create an animation about how mrstwits go flying in the air and how she comes down. We also had to get words from the dictionary as well. Have you ever read the book The twits?

Ruby Bridges

For literacy, we had to learn about Ruby Bridges and how she made a change in her town. Then we had to fill out this information thing with words we looked up. Have you ever learnt about Ruby Bridges. 

Malala Yousafzai

For literacy, we had to learn about Malala Yousafzai and how the Taliban invaded her home. She has made a huge stand-in children's lives. Have you ever Heard of Malala Yousafzai?

My Limerick About Winter

For literacy, we had to make a Limerick about winter and we had to make it so the 2 and 5 have to rhyme, and then the 1 2 4 had to have a different rhyme. Have you ever made a Limerick before? 

Micro Plastics

 For Inquiry, lately, we have been learning about water and how it affects humans and stuff. we have been doing microplastics today so we had to answer all of these questions and put them on a canvas. Do you know anything about Microplastics? 

Did you know that when the fish eat the microplastics we eat the fish and the microplastics?

 

Art

 For Art, we had to take a photo about a good side and a bad side of the paper and then you draw like fish, coral and on the bad side, you draw most things dead. Have you ever seen a bunch of rubbish in the ocean?

Matariki Kites

 For Maori, we had to read these stories about seven sisters and their kites and then we started to draw the Maori pictures and then draw wind signs. Then we would use pastels to color in than you use the watercolors of the pastels. Have you ever made a Matariki kite?

Gorilla Report

For writing, we had to write an informational report on an endangered animal from Arana park, I chose the silverback gorilla because they act like humans and because they are really muscular and ginormous. Gorillas are critically endangered because people are destroying their habitat and the minors are killing them for food. We need to stop buying palm oil products and help the gorillas. Have you ever seen a Silverback gorilla at Arana park before?

Baking With Mr Shaw

For maths, we had to get in a group of 4 and think of what to bake, then we had to choose who brings what ingredients and to get the recipe. Then we had to start to make the delicious chocolate muffins. Have you ever made chocolate muffins?

The Jumping Hector Dolphin

For literacy, we were learning about new Zealand endangered animals and I chose the hector dolphin and we had to do a voice recording over the slide presentation. Have you ever learned about the hector dolphin or do you know any other new Zealand endangered animals?

Art

 

For art, since Matariki is coming up we did Matariki art but with printing, first, we had to do practise work and then we would have to put the stars backwards so when it prints it goes the right way. after we were done we had to make a frame out of paper and then glue it onto it. Have you ever made Matariki art before?

Area Perimeter and volume

For maths, we had to find out the expansion for the area, perimeter, and volume. Then we had to put it all on a slide and then blog it. we had to do this for our house, we are making a tiny cardboard house.  Have u ever made a tiny cardboard house?

Swinging Orangutans

 

For literacy, we had to make an informational report on Orangutans, and then we had to copy and paste it into Adobe spark and make a web page and put a lot of photos and stuff into it. This was a fun task to put onto Adobe spark. Have you ever seen an Orangutan?

Steam egg drop

For science, we had to get in a group of 5, and then we got a lot of materials and we had to make it so when we drop the egg from the mezzanine floor it wouldn't break. Only 2 made it so their egg didn't spatter. Our egg got crushed. Have you ever done an egg drop before?

Letter Home

For writing, we had to write a letter home to a loved one and acted like we were in the Gallipoli war with the ANZAC people. I did this letter to my Mum and acted like I was in the trenches. Have you ever heard about the Gallipoli war? 

Pirate ship problem

For maths, I and jasiah had to make a problem on a pirate ship so we got to make the ship on minecraft. this was a great task.

Mean Median Mode and Range

For Maths, we were learning about Mean Median Mode and Range and we had to do a presentation of what they all mean and an explanation of what it is. Do you know what Mean Median mode and range Are?

Refugee Storyboard That

 

For literacy, we have been reading Refugee by Alan Gratz.   We looked at the main character and picked 3 words to describe them.  I picked Scared, brave, and nervous.

For our create a task, we had to use Storyboard That, and pick one of our describing words to storyboard.  We needed to think about what happened just before that scene, and just after and how we could show emotion in our character's face.

I decided to do pick scared. I showed this by showing him driving to the beach and leaving his home country and start new. Have you ever read about refugees?

Anzac Cove landing by the ANZACS

In literacy, at the moment we are learning about WW1 and in particular, the role the ANZACS played in it.

We know that the ANZACS landed at ANZAC cove on April 25th, 1915.  They arrived by boat and were greeted by a beach that was in chaos, steep, rugged cliffs, and the Turks firing at them from the top of the cliffs.

Many men lost their lives that day, many never made it to the beach.  The ones that did were about to start a long journey filled with tears, despair, and sadness.

This animation is to show the landing at ANZAC Cove.

Timeline of the treaty of waitanigai

For Moari, we had to read a comic about the treaty and then add all of the timelines to this poster on canvas. Did you know that the Maori had full control over new Zealand for 500 years? Have you ever read anything about the treaty?

The Moari version of the treaty

For Moari, we learned about what happened to the Maori and the English happened about the treaty of Waitangi. There were actually 2 versions of the treaty with different meanings. Do you know anything about the Treaty?

For moari, we had to learn about Te Tiriti o Waitangi again and we had to watch a lot of videos and read articles. Have you ever learned about Te Tiriti o Waitangi?

For moari, we had to research Tāmoko and how it is a face painting that you earn and it tells you about yourself. this was a good task to learn about. Have you ever seen Tāmoko

For Maori, we had to create a pepeha shorter version of because you just insert the words and it creates it for you. Have you ever made a pepeha?

 

Safety At Home

For safety, we had to create a poster on canva about the safety of being at home and if someone is trying to break in. this was very fun and I learnt to turn on the lights to make sure they no your home.

 

All About Me

 

For Canva, we had to make an all about me animation and it was very fun because you would do anything you want. Have you ever canva before?

My Pepeha

For My pepeha, we had to make an easy way to make it and you just have to insert all the words and then it automatically does it. This was a very fun task to do. Have you ever made a Pepeha before?

 

My Lego Man

For my portrait, we had to draw a lego man of ourselves selves and like the actual lego body, this was such a fun task to do. Have you ever drawn a lego person of your self?

Holdiays

For my holidays, I went to Queens Town and flew, It was so fun because we went go-carting 2 and swimming. It was the best trip ever. Have you ever went to Queens Town, did you like the trip?
